THE 2010 DVDR RELEASING STANDARDS
[ December 16th, 2009 ]
Recently there has been some disagreement upon the definition
of what constitutes a reencoded DVDR release. To clarify the
TDRS2K10 rule regarding this issue,
Under the General: heading of TDRS2K10, line 83 is now changed
to the following:
. Release size must be 4.3-4.37 Gb unless source is DVD5.
NOTE: IF the ONLY thing stripped is warnings, and the image
size is below 4.3 Gb, this is allowed as long as you
put a note in your release info explaining this fact.
If you strip ANYTHING besides warnings, the release
MUST be 4.3-4.37 Gb in size.
The old rule,
. Release size for reencoded dvd must be 4.3-4.37 Gb.
is null, void, and no longer valid after December 16th, 2009.
